Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over a number of thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day away. It is low-key, friendly and fun. Internationally over 8 million people have now attended an Alpha course, in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world. The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith. A typical evening at Alpha consists of a meal, talk and discussion in small groups. Meal: There is a light meal together at the beginning of each session which gives people a chance to get to know each other. Talk: Each evening there is a talk. This will introduce the theme of the evening and provide information and ideas to stimulate later discussions. Coffee & Small groups: Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. After each talk we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions and express opinion. How can I get on the Alpha Course at City Church?
