Sunday morning at City Church is an exciting place to be – the whole church coming together, celebrating what God has done through Jesus, studying His word together, praying for each other and seeing God's power transform people's lives. We meet every week at 10:30am at Cotham School, in the brand new sports hall. Only a 10 minute walk from Whiteladies Road, and close to Bristol University. Find us on a map . Parking is available at the front of the school and when you enter the building our ‘connect’ team will be on hand to direct you into the meeting and answer any questions you may have. The meeting normally begins with contemporary music from one of our bands. During this time people sing along with the band and are free to participate as much as they feel comfortable with. The children leave the meeting for their groups during this time. There are separate activities organised for them for the rest of the morning. They enjoy having fun, building lasting friendships as they discover who Jesus is for themselves. We follow our time of singing with some news about what is going on in the church. We’ll then have a talk from one of our leaders which lasts around 40 minutes. This is based on a section of the bible and applied to our lives today. There is always an opportunity after this for people to receive prayer for any specific needs. The feel of the morning is relaxed and the dress code informal. People who visit us often comment on how welcoming and friendly we are. After the meeting, there’s a chance to grab a coffee, have a chat and meet some of us. We look forward to seeing you soon! |
