He is our God and we love Him. Church is the natural result of following Jesus. Our church is a community, a family of people following Jesus together.

A Church is not about buildings or ceremony, but a community of people who have become followers of Jesus, the greatest king of all time. Church is a place to believe and belong. Jesus said, “I will build my church”. He also explained that in order to achieve this he would have to die. Why?

The church is described as the dwelling place of God by the Bible. God is holy, and how can a holy God live amongst messed-up people? That’s what the cross is all about. On the cross, our lives are sorted out. Sin, which makes a barrier between us and God as our Father, is dealt with. The barrier was torn down and sin forever taken care of when Jesus died in our place. Welcome home.

Our church is therefore a place of passion and hope. Passion for our saviour and hope for all who need grace from Jesus. Lots of things happen in City church’s life. We meet for worship and teaching, in larger settings and smaller ones in each other's homes and other venues in the city. Our small groups (sometimes called cell groups) are central to church life. Here people make friends and build community. A place to really belong! You are very welcome to drop in on one.

There is lots of stuff for families and kids at City Church . There’s info on the site but best to come along to find our more. Similarly single people are very much part of the core of City church. So there is bound to be a place for you.
